Warehouses
In MindX Inventory, warehouses represent physical stock locations where inventory is stored. You can manage multiple warehouses to streamline sales, purchases, and inventory transfers. When creating orders, select the warehouse from or to which you want to dispatch or receive stock.
Add New Warehouse
To add a new warehouse to your organization:
- Go to Settings > Warehouses from the left-hand menu.
- Click the + Add Warehouse button.
- Enter the required warehouse details, including name, email, phone, and address.
- Click Save to add the warehouse. It will now appear in your warehouse list.

You can only have one primary warehouse at a time. Choose it based on your main operational requirements.
Change Warehouse Status
Designate a Primary Warehouse The primary warehouse acts as the default location for all transactions. To designate a primary warehouse:
- Go to Settings > Warehouses.
- Click the Make as Primary option next to the desired warehouse.
- Confirm your selection in the pop-up that follows. The selected warehouse will now act as the primary.
Tip
You can only have one primary warehouse at a time. Choose it based on your main operational requirements.
Deactivate & Reactivate a Warehouse
If a warehouse is temporarily not in use, you can deactivate it.
To Deactivate:
- Go to Settings > Warehouses.
- Click the Edit button next to the warehouse.
- Change its Status to Inactive and save.
To Reactivate:
- Follow the same steps as above, but set the Status to Active.
Info
You cannot deactivate the current primary warehouse without assigning another warehouse as primary.
Edit Warehouse Details
To edit the details of an existing warehouse:
- Go to Settings > Warehouses.
- Click the Edit button next to the warehouse of your choice.
- Update the required fields and click Save.
Delete a Warehouse
If a warehouse is no longer operational:
- Go to Settings > Warehouses.
- Select the warehouse by clicking the checkbox and then click the Delete button at the top.

Data Loss: Deleting a warehouse permanently removes its details and any related information. Ensure you have backed up all necessary data before proceeding.

Transaction Impact: Deactivating a warehouse can affect any pending transactions. Confirm that no transactions are in progress before changing the warehouse status.
